Educator Screening and Onboarding

​

​All educator applicants are required to complete a screening, interview and onboarding process before being approved to provide family day care under the service.

​

This may include review of qualifications, experience, employment history, references, Working with Children Check, National Police Check, first aid requirements, child safety training, suitability checks, home safety assessment, risk assessments and understanding of service policies and procedures.

​

Educators are also supported to understand their responsibilities under the National Quality Framework, Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, Family Assistance Law, Child Care Subsidy requirements where applicable, child safety expectations, record keeping, attendance requirements and family communication.
